Kyle, on behalf of the Boomer crowd, let me apologize.  I know you are mad but hear me out. Socialism is on a roll and want to kill everyone over 30 (Wild in the Streets (1968), Soylent Green (1973), Logan’s Run (1976).  Today 50 is the new 30.

However, us Boomers rode the zenith of Tyter’s Cycle (Abundance).  We/they sprung from The Greatest Generation, who suffered the Great Depression and fought the Great War.  Really great people, my mom and dad.  They landed on the  “From spiritual faith to great courage, From courage to liberty, From liberty to abundance” part of Tytler’s Cycle.  They showed us Moral Clarity.

 Some of it actually stuck.  Some of it didn’t.

 Over the past 50 years half this country wanted stuff the other half refused to pay for, so we elected politicians who borrowed it.  It was a team effort (Liberals and Conservatives).  Guns and Butter.  It was a win-win.  Unfortunately, we didn’t provide the good example the Greatest Generation provided (or beat into us).  With me so far?

 So now the Boomers are retiring at 10,000 a day and will be for the next 17 years (Pew Research).  However we/they are leaving a MASSIVE AND ROLLING debt wall so high it darkens the skies.  And it is nothing more than a claim on future labor (Income tax-based system).  The generations behind the Boomers (that's you, Kyle) will not commit to labor for a period of hours each day, to produce income, for it to be taxed, for the rest of their lives when they will not receive the direct benefit of that labor.  It's human nature - the Law of Self-Interest.  It is why socialism fails every time it's tried.  Humans won't service that geometrically growing debt, much less pay it down. (“Not gonna do it”-Bush41).

The kids are woke.  Awakened to the fact the aging Boomers spent their labor and doomed them.

 It has long been asserted that the two primary forces at work in America (Left v Right, Conservative v Liberal) stems from Hobbes v Locke.  Tommy Hobbes may have found his footing with this generation.  I think they are a little upset over what the Boomers have done.  (“No Joke”-Biden) So what’s coming?

 Why, Social Democracy!  Yep.  That’s the ticket!  We switch to an asset-based tax.  Boomers are no longer producing income to be taxed and their assets would not be there had they paid for the stuff they decided they could not do without. Ouch!
