Just finished watching the podcast. Was out on the road today. Why do fire trucks always seem to break just before lunch??

I’m a convicted felon and I have a completely different take on the snap benefits.
I spent 11 years in prison. I had 6 months of parole before I discharged which I spent on a gps monitor. Had a ankle bracelet and a box in a gay ass fanny pack I had to wear when I left the house. Many a time I had to go out and stand in the rain so the thing would regain satellite signal.
I managed to get a job while still on parole. In Texas when you get out of prison if you’re on parole you get two checks. $50 when you leave the prison and another $50 when you go see your parole officer for the first time. You also get a EBT card that had like $100. I was told I had to have a job to be eligible for food stamps. Whatever! I got off parole in April 2013 and by July I was turning wrenches for a major trucking corporation in Ft Worth.
So I don’t know what the fuck that clown was talking about can’t get a job. Then get yourself some marketable skills. I was put in the worst of the worst category when I got out and God never once failed to provide a path for my success.
I’m thankful for God’s grace and mercy and all that He has done in my life even though I have done absolutely nothing to deserve it!! No doubt there have been some bumpy roads that damn near did me in, but God has been right there every step of the way. As long as I keep getting up and dusting myself off and steadily try to do better.
